Clear pavements and paths to crossings wide enough that traffic is impeded no more than unavoidable, and a path to the road and to the property entrance at least 1.25 m wide. In icy conditions grit pavements and access paths at least 1.50 m wide, narrower pavements in full.
Grit mainly with sand, chippings and similar abrasive material, no aggressive substances. Road salt only in small amounts against compacted ice and snow; remove residues immediately after thawing. Do not put salt on tree pits or planted areas.
Do not move snow and ice from properties onto the road or pavement. Where there is a pavement on one side only, frontagers on the pavement side are responsible in even-numbered years, those on the opposite side in odd-numbered years.

In icy conditions grit pavements, as a rule, to their full width and depth, and paths to the road and to crossings 1.5 m wide. Do not put salt or other de-icers on roadside planting, nor store salty snow on it.
Where there is a pavement on one side only, frontagers on the pavement side are responsible in even-numbered years, those on the opposite side in odd-numbered years.
