Snow that falls and ice that forms between 7 am and 10 pm must be cleared without delay once the snowfall ends; snow falling after 10 pm must be cleared by 7 am on weekdays and by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays of the following day.
On pavements at least a 1 m wide strip must be cleared, as well as the access to the carriageway and to the property entrance; in icy or snowy conditions, pavements, crossings and accesses must be gritted to a width of at least 1.50 m.
Grit material is mainly sand, chippings, granulate or similarly abrasive material; de-icing salt is not permitted except in black-ice conditions or particularly hazardous spots where other means are not sufficient.
