Hoyerswerda / Wojerecy
Clear and grit pavements by 8 am, on Sundays and public holidays by 9 am. If snow falls or ice forms during the day, clear and grit as soon as possible and repeatedly if needed, until 8 pm.
Clear and grit pavements in full, at least 1.50 m wide; where there is no pavement, a 1.50 m strip along the edge of the road counts as pavement, though in pedestrian zones and traffic-calmed areas without a pavement a width of 1.00 to 1.20 m is generally enough. Also clear and grit the access to bin collection points and hydrants and shut-off valves including their access.
Grit with sand, chippings or salt (NaCl); chemical de-icers only in special weather such as flash ice and on steps, ramps or similar danger spots. Pick up the grit on the weekend before Easter, at the latest after the winter service period.
The town clears and grits the pavements and squares listed in Annex 2 of the bylaw.
