Jena
Clear snow on weekdays 7 am to 8 pm, Sundays and public holidays 8 am to 8 pm, no later than 1 hour after the snow stops falling.
Clear pavements wide enough that traffic is impeded no more than unavoidable, and a path to the road and to the property entrance at least 1.25 m wide. In pedestrian zones and traffic-calmed areas without a pavement, a 1.50 m strip along the property boundary counts as the pavement.
In icy conditions grit pavements and access paths in good time, unfinished pavements across a width of 1.50 m. Use only as much grit as keeps pavements and crossings from getting excessively dirty, and only tools and materials that do not damage the street.
Where there is a pavement on one side only, frontagers on the pavement side are responsible in even-numbered years, those on the opposite side in odd-numbered years. In streets of cleaning classes 5 to 7 in the street directory, winter service is carried out by the city.
