Clear and grit by 7 am Monday to Friday, by 8 am on Saturdays and by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays. If snow falls or ice forms during the day until 9 pm, clear again as often as needed and grit without delay, repeating as needed.
Clear and grit pavements 1.50 m wide, plus an access to the road at least 1 m wide for each property. Where neither side of the street has a pavement, a 1.50 m strip of the road from the edge applies.
Salt and other de-icing agents are banned, allowed exceptionally in freezing rain, then kept to a minimum.
At junctions, pedestrian crossings and public transport or school bus stops, clear and grit the pavement up to the kerb.
