Remove snow and ice on weekdays between 7 am and 8 pm and on Sundays and public holidays between 9 am and 8 pm immediately after the snowfall ends. Snow falling after 8 pm by 7 am the next day on weekdays, by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Keep pavements and connecting paths and steps clear of snow at the width pedestrians need, where possible 1.5 m, and grit them when icy, except in streets of winter service class W 0. Where neither side of the street has a separate pavement, a walkable verge or a strip of the carriageway counts as pavement.
Only abrasive grit should be used; de-icers are banned.
At bus stops on the pavement, clear and grit up to the kerb; passenger shelters are excluded. Breaches can be fined up to €511.
