Snow falling or ice forming between 7 am and 8 pm on weekdays and between 9 am and 8 pm on Sundays and public holidays must be removed immediately. Snow or ice after 8 pm by 7 am on weekdays, by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Keep footpaths and cycle paths along the property frontage clear of snow and ice at the width required for public safety and order. On roads without a pavement, a 1.50 m strip on each side counts as pavement.
When icy, grit pavements, walkable verges and cycle paths with abrasive materials, repeatedly if necessary. Salt and other de-icers on footpaths, cycle paths and in the pedestrian zone only in freezing rain.
In the streets listed in Annex 2 of the bylaw, the duty covers a pavement-width strip (at least 1.50 m) in front of the property. Breaches can be fined up to €500.
