Pirna
Pavements must be cleared and gritted by 7 am on weekdays and by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays. If snow falls or ice forms later, clear and grit without delay and repeat as needed; the duty ends at 8 pm.
Clear pavements across at least three quarters of their width, those narrower than 1 m in full. Clear an access to the road one metre wide for every residential property where possible. Without a pavement, a 1.50 m strip of the road along the property boundary counts as pavement.
Grit with sand, chippings, granules or similar materials. Salt is generally banned, allowed exceptionally in heavy freezing rain and at particularly dangerous spots such as steps or ramps, but not near trees or planted areas. Remove residues after the frost period at the latest.
No clearing or gritting duty on pavements and steps marked with an official sign "No snow clearing or gritting. Use at your own risk."
The town's bylaw is authoritative: Street cleaning bylaw of 23 March 2022, consolidated version in force since 7 April 2022
