The duties apply from 7 am to 8 pm, on Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 8 pm, in each case without delay after snowfall.
Clear pavements wide enough for people to pass each other; when icy, grit them across their full width, unpaved pavements to a width of 1.50 to 2.00 m from the property boundary. Clear an access to the road and to the property entrance at least 1.25 m wide.
Grit mainly with sand, chippings or similar materials. Use salt only in small amounts against compacted ice and snow, and remove residues after the frost period at the latest.
Owners are responsible; where properties lie one behind the other, the duty rotates weekly. Breaches can be fined up to €500.

Döbeln
The duties apply from 7 am to 8 pm and must be carried out without delay whenever it snows.
Clear pavements wide enough for people to pass each other; when icy, grit paved pavements across their full width, unpaved ones to a depth of 1.50 to 2 m from the property boundary. Clear an access to the road and to the property entrance at least 1.25 m wide.

Where there is a pavement on one side only, properties on the pavement side are responsible in years ending in an even number, properties on the opposite side in years ending in an odd number.
