Clear and grit without delay from 7 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 8 pm on Sundays and public holidays; during continuous snowfall, at the latest once it stops. Anything arising after 8 pm must be done by 7 am on weekdays and by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Clear and grit pavements and pedestrian zones at least 1.5 m wide, narrower ones in full, including at bus and tram stops, junctions and crossings. Where there is no pavement on either side of the street, a 1.5 m strip at the edge of the road counts as pavement.
Grit with sand or fine chippings. Salt and other de-icers are generally banned, allowed only in exceptional cases such as freezing rain and at dangerous spots such as steps or ramps, never on tree pits or planted areas.
The duty does not apply in streets marked with cleaning class "W" in the street directory.
