Keep pavements clear of snow to at least 1 m width; on streets and squares without a pavement, keep a 1 m strip on the verge or along the houses or the boundary of the square.
Sand, fine ash, rock salt or other abrasive material may be used for gritting; tree pits and planted areas must not be gritted with salt, and salty snow must not be placed on them.
