Keep clear on weekdays from 7 am to 8 pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 8 pm; snow falling during this time must be cleared without delay once the snowfall ends. Snow falling after 8 pm or overnight must be cleared the next day by 7 am, or by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Clear pavements up to 1.50 m wide, and at least 1.50 m on wider pavements; where there is no pavement, at least a 1.50 m strip on both sides of the street. At public transport stops, keep safe access clear, if necessary via a crossing over the cycle path.
When icy, grit with abrasive materials (e.g. grit, sand). Salt and other de-icing substances are banned on pavements as a rule, allowed only exceptionally in special weather-related cases (e.g. freezing rain) or at hazardous points such as steps, bridge approaches and steep slopes, and then at most 5 to 40 grams per square metre depending on the weather. A distance matching the tree canopy's radius must be kept from trees.
