Delbrück
Remove snow and ice arising between 7 am and 8 pm without delay once the snowfall stops. Anything after 8 pm by 7 am the next day on weekdays, by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Keep pavements clear of snow to the width pedestrians need, at least 1.20 m where the pavement allows. Where a street has no recognisable pavement on either side, a 1.20 m strip at the edge of the road counts as pavement.
Grit with abrasive materials. Only in exceptional icy conditions such as freezing rain, and on steps, ramps and steep slopes, is a mix containing 15% de-icing material allowed. No salt on tree pits or planted areas.
Pavements are the responsibility of the owners of the adjoining properties; where only one side of the street has a pavement, only the owners on that side.
The town's bylaw is authoritative: Street cleaning and fees bylaw of 15 December 1989, last amended 14 December 2007
