Mülheim an der Ruhr
Snow and ice arising between 7 am and 8 pm must be removed immediately after the snowfall ends. Snow and ice arising after 8 pm must be cleared by 7 am on weekdays, or 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Keep the pavement clear of snow to the width needed for pedestrian traffic. On streets without a pavement, make a suitably wide strip passable at the side of the carriageway. On traffic-calmed streets with no visible separation, a 1.50 m wide strip in front of the adjoining properties counts as the pavement.
Grit pavements with abrasive or de-icing material when icy. Salt and other environmentally harmful de-icing substances are generally banned on pavements, allowed only at hazardous points such as steps, passages, bridge access ramps or steep gradients, or in exceptional weather such as freezing rain. Tree pits and planted areas must not be gritted with salt, and salted snow must not be dumped there.
