Snow and ice arising between 7 am and 8 pm on weekdays, or between 9 am and 8 pm on Sundays and public holidays, must be cleared immediately after snowfall ends. Snow falling after 8 pm: by 7 am on weekdays, by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays the following day.
Keep pavements clear of snow at least 1.20 m wide, 2.50 m in pedestrian zones, along the property side. On streets with no or only partial pavements, keep a 1.20 m strip along the property side clear of snow and ice on each side.
When icy, grit with abrasive or de-icing agents (e.g. salt). Do not put salt on tree pits or planted areas, and do not pile salty snow on them.
Winter service on all pavements is the duty of the owners of the adjoining properties. Breaches are fined between €5 and €1,000.
