Clear snow and grit icy surfaces on weekdays from 7 am to 8 pm, on Sundays and public holidays from 8 am to 8 pm.
Keep pavements, cycle paths and pedestrian crossings narrower than 1.50 m fully clear, wider ones at least 1.50 m wide; where there is no pavement, a 1 m strip next to the carriageway.
In icy conditions, grit so that there is a safe path; harmful chemicals must not be used.
Breaches can be punished with a fine of up to €5,000.

Vechta
Remove snow and ice immediately on weekdays from 7 am to 9 pm, Saturdays from 8 am to 9 pm, Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 9 pm. Snow or ice after 9 pm by 7 am, on Saturdays by 8 am, on Sundays and public holidays by 9 am the next day.
Keep foot and cycle paths narrower than 1.00 m fully clear, the others at least 1.00 m wide; in the traffic-calmed shopping areas (including Große Straße, Markt) pavements 2.00 m wide. Where there is no pavement, a 1.00 m strip next to the carriageway.
Grit with sand or other materials. No tools or chemicals that damage clothing, footwear, the road surface, people or animals; do not spread de-icing materials on tree pits and planted areas.
Applies to foot and cycle paths or verges of streets in cleaning classes A to D of the street register. Breaches can be punished with a fine of up to €5,000.
