Weekdays 7 am to 8 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 8 am to 7 pm, clear as quickly as possible after snowfall or once ice forms. Anything arising after 8 pm by 7 am the next day, or by 8 am on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Clear the pavement, or grit it when icy, to a width of 1.50 m, up to 2.00 m in pedestrian zones. No winter service is carried out on cycle paths.
Use only abrasive material; ash, sawdust, de-icing salt or chemical de-icers are not permitted. Exceptionally, in extreme weather, de-icing salt or alternative grit may be used, especially at schools, kindergartens, hospitals, doctors' surgeries, care homes, bridges, underpasses, roundabouts and paths or squares with a gradient over 6%.
The offence can be punished with a fine of up to 1,280 euros.
