Clear snow without delay once snowfall ends, grit ice immediately; if snowfall continues past 8 pm or snow, ice or slipperiness occurs afterwards, it must be dealt with by 8:30 am the following day, or by 9:30 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Clear the pavements and similar facilities under § 30(1) of ice and snow to the width required for foot traffic, at least a 1 m strip; areas used exclusively by cyclists are excluded. Steps must be cleared in full width.
Grit with abrasive material when icy, repeated if necessary; salt and salt-based de-icing agents are banned.
