The duties apply from 7 am to 10 pm.
The full width of the pavement fronting the property must be cleared; on pavements over 3 m wide and in pedestrian zones a path of at least 1.50 m is enough. Access to the carriageway and to the property entrance must also be cleared to a width of 1.50 m.
Grit material is sand, chippings or similarly abrasive material; ash is banned. Salt only in small quantities at particular hazard points or to remove compacted ice and snow where necessary. Tree pits and green areas must be kept free of de-icing agents.
