On weekdays from 6 am to 8 pm (cleaning classes 1-2) or 7 am to 8 pm (classes 4-6), and on Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 8 pm, clear snow and ice without delay; otherwise by 6 or 7 am the next weekday, or by 9 am on Sundays and public holidays.
Clear pavements narrower than 1.50 m completely, wider ones to a width of 1.50 m; where there is no separate pavement, a 1.5 m strip on the carriageway applies.
Salt or other de-icing agents are allowed only in freezing rain, at dangerous spots such as steps, ramps, bridge approaches and descents, steep slopes, or at hydrants and stopcocks. Tree pits and green areas must never be salted, even then.
