Grit with abrasive material such as sand, lava granulate or chippings. Corrosive and de-icing agents such as salt are banned, even mixed with other substances, except for ice caused by freezing rain.
Anyone who fails to secure the pavements, does not do so in time, or uses banned grit, can be fined up to one thousand euros.

The footway to be secured is the one within the cleaning area in front of the property. Where there is no paved or marked-off pavement, a 1 m strip from the walkable edge of the street applies.
Grit with abrasive material such as sand or chippings, not with de-icing salt or corrosive agents. De-icing salt only where there is a particular risk of ice, for example on steps or steep slopes.
Anyone who fails to secure the footways, or does not do so in time, can be fined up to one thousand euros.
