Clear snow and grit when icy from 7 am on weekdays, from 8 am on Sundays and public holidays. Repeat as often as needed until 8 pm.
The pavement in front of the property must be kept safe; where there is no marked-off pavement, a 1 m strip along the edge of the street. When piling up snow, leave at least 1 m of pavement clear.
Only chippings, sand or other abrasive grit; salt and corrosive substances are generally banned. Chippings-salt or sand-salt mixes with no more than 10 % salt are allowed, pure salt only in exceptional cases on steep sections, stairways and lowered kerbs.
Stand-alone footpaths closed to or impassable for vehicles, such as alleys, footbridges and stepped paths, as well as combined foot and cycle paths, are the town's responsibility.
