In snow or black ice, clear snow and grit when icy on weekdays from 7 am to 8 pm, on Sundays and public holidays from 8 am to 8 pm.
The footway in front of the property must be kept safe over 1 m width from the road boundary, all the way round on corner plots. Where there is a pavement on one side only, only the owners on that side are responsible.
Only chippings, sand or other suitable abrasive materials. Salt or corrosive substances should generally be avoided; pure salt only by way of exception on steep sections, stairways, lowered kerbs or in particularly dangerous situations, and only in the minimum amount absolutely necessary.
Pile cleared snow at the edge of the pavement if at least 1 m of footway stays clear, otherwise take it onto the owner's own property or to places designated by the town. Violations can be fined up to one thousand euros.
