Clear snow and grit when icy from 7 am at the latest on weekdays and from 8 am at the latest on Sundays and public holidays; repeat as often as necessary until 8 pm.
The footway along the property boundary must be kept safe; where there is no paved or marked-off pavement, and in traffic-calmed areas and pedestrian zones, 1.0 m wide, measured from the property boundary or the walkable edge of the road.
Grit with abrasive materials such as sand or chippings. De-icing agents such as sodium chloride or calcium/magnesium chloride only to the extent necessary, generally allowed where it is particularly slippery (e.g. steps, steep slopes); formates, acetates and urea are not permitted.
Pile cleared snow at the edge of the footway, on very narrow footways at the edge of the road if necessary, and on the owner's own property where possible. Snow or ice from private land must not be piled on public traffic areas.
